"Dripping water hollows out stone, not through force but through persistence."-Ovid
I was having a conversation with a friend today who had a hobby he was pursuing a few years back. He did a few jobs for me and a few friends. Recently, he was talking about his business which he was pursuing - his hobby had turned into a full blown business. I found this quite amazing. He had put in consistent effort and now he had this business that a few years ago had not been nothing but a hobby. The truth is, he was good. Not hobby-level good, but expert-level good. The difference between where he was then and where he is now is consistent effort. I see good things in his future.
Usually, when we are faced with a lot of work or an obstacle, we believe that we cannot overcome such huge obstacles and so we lay flat in the sand, stare up at the sun, get lost in the lapping waves and just give up. Seriously, do not give up. Little steps on a consistent path sometimes can get you further than random bursts of effort.
Put in the work and the time, then watch your goals blossom into reality.
